Commisioned Art

This commission turned out so wonderful and exactly how the client asked for it. Here is her review via email:

Reviews like this really make me smile. I'm so elated that I could create something special for Kim that will hang in their house. This is what propels me forward to keep making art. A Commision. New Art Work In Progress!

New art work being worked for a client in Colorado. I have re created this scene a few times and I always enjoy doing so. It has such great depth and feeling with the added teal and magenta in the aspens.

This evening.

I worked on an abstract painting I had been mulling over in my mind. I'm not sure what I will title it yet though I have some ideas in process. This art work should be posted tomorrow in my Etsy Original Painting Store.

I did tried something new and unique with this painting, I blotted tissue paper in the clouds and sky area. Once the tissue paper became heavy with paint I let it rest and become attached by drying to the canvas. I really love the texture that came from the paint and the tissue paper. This is a really one of a kind piece with lots of things to look at and enjoy.

Commision for Kate-Green Infusd Aspens

Here are some photos that I took while creating a commission for a client. She asked for the addition of a similar color green that would match the paint on the walls in their home. Custom art is so much fun, being able to make something truly special for someone is a great feeling. Especially when I showed Kate the finished product and she responded that is was exactly what they were looking for. Really makes me happy that I can do this for people. That I'm paid for it is a plus ;)

Today.

My view while working on a commissioned painting. This will have love birds added on a wire in the middle. Almost finished!
I started painting this on the floor while other items were drying. Busy busy busy day. Just how I like it.
