BEHIND THE SCENES-One of my largest art works EVER!

A behind the scenes look at one of the largest art works I've ever been commissioned for. These panels were both 5ft high and 8ft wide for a total of 5ft high and 16 ft wide. This was so much fun to work on. Working big is one of my favorite ways to paint. Stay tuned for finished photos and client review of their new art work. Cheers -VL

Behind The Scenes !

Here are some sneak peak looks at behind the scenes while I paint. This is another commissioned piece that was a lot of fun to create. I just know that the bright yellow hues in this painting at going to make the clients room really pop and bring a wow factor. I always love to know that a painting I created is the final piece for a room and will bring it all together. Thank you for choosing my art for your home-it truly makes me smile from the inside out.

Stage 1 Commission

A lot of commissions end up being tweaked to add colors or changes that reflect a clients personal idea. This time a blue/grey was added to tie in the home owners floor and lighting currently in the home and leaves near the top. Stay tuned for more photos.

Commisioned Art

This commission turned out so wonderful and exactly how the client asked for it. Here is her review via email:

"I got my package today! The paintings are beautiful. I will submit a review once I put them on the wall. We are remodeling our dining room and they will be an amazing part of the room so I need to wait about another few weeks until the work is done in there so that I can do the paintings justice. Thank you for making them custom for me and I'm in love with their simple, modern, and clean design. Couldn't be happier!"

Reviews like this really make me smile. I'm so elated that I could create something special for Kim that will hang in their house. This is what propels me forward to keep making art. That I'm bringing happiness to someone else and in turn I believe this makes the world a better place. More beautiful from art and more beautiful from the smiles.

A Commision. New Art Work In Progress!

New art work being worked for a client in Colorado. I have re created this scene a few times and I always enjoy doing so. It has such great depth and feeling with the added teal and magenta in the aspens.

Finished Commissioned Painting.

Here are the finished photos of the commisioned art work mentioned in my previous blog posting. I really love how it came out. Feminine but powerful, light and airy but grounded. I think the light blue really is an amazing color for so many decorating choices. The aspen trees with their metallic and grey/black anchoring the entire painting and your eyes being drawn to the art work. What do you like about it?
