Commisioned Painting

I was contacted by a client desiring a light blue hue background and my popular impasto trees with hints of silver, gold, bronze and copper. I always love adding some metallic to art work, it really brings a different atmosphere and when the sunlight dances across the art it will really give a smile. Here are some photos I took while painting. I always send photos to my clients during the creation process. (I feel like God saying that. hah) It really makes them feel involved in the process of their original art work.

This deep edged gallery art is really much more large and heavy then it looks. Each panel is 12x36x1 inch depth. I believe all packaged up for shipment this art work weighed 13-15 lbs, when most weighs 5-8 lbs. Stretched canvas on wood can be relatively light, but when adding all these panels together in a box it becomes a different story. I always have the most fun wrapping up art work. It is almost like a trip to the gym. Yes I do everything myself from sourcing supplies to shipment of the art.

Check out my next blog for finished photos of this art work.
